What Does Learning Look Like in Practice?

Each school year unfolds as a series of engaging inquiry projects centered on global themes—from ecology and social systems to the arts and human identity. Students collaborate in small cohorts (up to 18 children), free from the pressure of school bells and rigid routines, within a secure, trust-centered environment.

6 Transdisciplinary Themes of Inquiry

  • Who we are — exploring identity, personal beliefs and values, human relationships, and what it means to be human.
  • Where we are in place and time — exploring personal histories, orientation in place and time, human migrations, and the journeys of discovery.
  • How we express ourselves — discovering and expressing ideas, emotions, creativity, and aesthetic appreciation.
  • How the world works — understanding the natural world, scientific principles, technology, and their impact on society and the environment.
  • How we organize ourselves — exploring societal systems, community organizations, and economic activity.

    — rights and responsibilities, finite natural resources, and equitable access to opportunities and goods.
The program significantly increases instructional hours for mathematics, natural sciences, and English compared to the national core curriculum standards (MEN).
