About Us
SVS philosophy is education in the spirit of respect for culture and diversity of other people, while preserving their national identity.
SVS School is currently located in two buildings in the center of Szczecin at Mickiewicza st. 49 and 51 with facilities with adjacent green areas – 1700 m2 and free parking and full size gym.

School facilities guarantee children safety and comfort. All classrooms are spacious, bright and equipped with the necessary teaching aids including multimedia equipment: interactive whiteboards and projectors. The school is cozy, the class counts up to 18 students. The SVS is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. Lessons for all classes begin at 08.00 and last until 15.00. SVS teaching is organized so that pupils can make the most of their time at school and at the same time they have the opportunity to develop closer relationships with other pupils and teachers.

Organization of school day
In our school.
Teachers start duty caring at 7.00. Upon entering the school, students dress up in the locker room and go to the classroom where they are accompanied by a teacher. Classes 1-4 students stay from 8 am under the tutor teacher. In the morning, from 07.00 to 08.00 we offer our pupils care in the common room. Between the hours of 15.00 and 17.00, there is afternoon care in the School, during which children have the opportunity to do their homework and participate in additional classes developing talents. We provide a one-shift hour plan, the care of a psychologist, speech therapist and educator and language courses for pupils joining in during the school year. There are no bells at ouzr school. The teacher decides when to take a break and lead class children into the hall or take them on outdoor activities. The break is when the class needs it, not when the bell rings. In older classes, students come to their classrooms and await for the teacher. In the dining room, every child, regardless of whether or not they eat school meals, can sit down with the others at the table and in the cultural conditions to eat their meals during breakfast and lunch break. Available to all children at school is water (non-carbonated mineral). Every age group has a separate dressing room, and each child has a separate locker in his/her classroom to keep school supplies, notebooks, layette, art supplies and gym clothes at school. Students have access to a computer room with software adapted to the age and abilities of children, ensuring computer security and the use of information and communication technology. The school carries out the rules established by the Ministry of National Education to classify and promote students. The school issues certificates in the same way as public schools. In the didactic and educational activities, the school headmaster and teachers can use their own solutions. The SVS school is based on the school calendar published by the Ministry of Education.
Teaching program
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an International Baccalaureate program that targets pupils aged 3 to 12 years. The basic assumptions of this program are: research approach as a basis for teaching and learning, program content integration and skill development, and providing students with the opportunity to take meaningful initiatives and activities for them. The central role in the PYP program is played by a team of traits that we educate and improve in our children, which is called the IB pupil’s profile. All teachers are responsible for shaping these traits.
They organize the learning environment and plan the tasks and problems to be solved. Students receive feedback on their progress in various ways – they collect stickers, diplomas, and keep diaries. PYP is a program implemented in the form of units, i.e. thematic blocks, which are carried out by projects. The whole is based on the researched approaches to knowledge acquisition, situational awareness, training needs, applying knowledge and skills. There are six such blocks in each class one in each of the six cross-sectional subjects IB:
- Who we are?
- Where are we in time and space?
- How do we express ourselves?
- How does the world work?
- How are we organized?
Common planet. All elements of philosophy and functioning of the PYP seek to educate the pupils with minds that are open to the world. Our school strives to obtain formal accreditation as soon as possible, allowing full use of the IBO program. Compensatory classes from English
SVS pupils can be a group of varied English proficiency.
We strive to support the individual needs of children in this regard at every age. As part of the countervailing activities, help is provided to new entrants to begin learning activities during a school year that do not speak English so they can cope with English-speaking SVS culture. The basic purpose of the English language countervailing program is to prepare participants for classes by gaining language skills and self-confidence, to join their peers who acquire knowledge in basic didactic forms within the main age group. The number of classes depends on the needs of each participant and can take different forms depending on the arrangements made with the English teacher of the main group.
Music classes
These classes are adjusted to the level of the age of the participants, carried out by the teacher specialist. These classes are linked and are a natural extension of the events experienced by participants in other activities. This includes the elements of the creation and interpretation of art. Classes develop children’s skills in verbal and non-verbal expression by playing instruments and singing, but also dancing and small theatrical forms.
Motion classes
We take care of the physical, cognitive and social development of each participant in the classroom, referring to the holistic and multidisciplinary principles of the SVS. Our goal is to let the participants learn a healthy and active lifestyle in an increasingly changing society, and to develop teamwork skills.
Motion Caring classes
These are activities for children who do not attend for various reasons in other activities offered to children. These classes also take place as natural breaks throughout the day, which can take on a variety of forms, the choice of which is determined by the teachers themselves.
We are open to suggestions – we can enrich the classes with issues agreed with the parents’ council.

WHAT IS COVERED BY TUITION
Under the tuition fee, the school provides:
- Intimate small class – up to 18 students
- Classes conducted by an native English speaking teacher implementing the IBO programme

By implementing the IB Primary Years Program we provide our pupils with holistic education according to world-class standards and excellent preparation to address the challenges of living in today’s dynamic reality.
The SVS school also supports the native language of their pupils. Therefore, all students:
- They are encouraged to nurture their mother tongue and appreciate it as well as respect the mother tongue of other pupils.
- They have access to a variety of materials that support the development of mother tongue, such as books, movies, recordings.
- Have the opportunity to participate in meetings with guests speaking their mother tongue (including meetings with pupil’s caregivers).
- They are encouraged to learn about the culture and traditions of their own country.
- The school organizes special English language courses for new students who do not speak English or who do not know it well enough.
- Polish is the official language of the country in which the school operates and in accordance with Polish law it must be taught as a foreign language for foreign students.
POLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES
Polish language classes in PYP age groups, prepared in accordance with PYP rules, enable participants to acquire the basic vocabulary needed to function in Poland. These classes are related and are a natural extension of the events experienced by participants in other classes for PYP groups. They refer to the research areas of PYP and help participants to describe the research projects carried out in Polish. This allows participants to differentiate their way of communicating with the world and bring them closer to the culture of the country they are currently in.
Learning Polish language is a real challenge for all, small and large. We believe that with our little help the children will be able to cope very well. We conduct classes based on internet educational platforms.
The material is divided into sections: vocabulary section (words learning), comics section (simple scenes + exercise sets) and online exercises (vocabulary consolidation).
